Channel, Eagle Way, and Brady Lift Stations Rehabilitation Projects
These projects rehabilitated three aging sewer lift stations throughout Sitka. The serviceability of the existing pump stations posed mounting issues as the time between failures shorted and repair parts for the aging pump systems are no longer available. The project constructed new vaults and electrical controls and installed state-of-the art submersible pumps. The new lift stations are similar to other more recently constructed lift stations in Sitka which allows consolidation of spare parts. The projects were phased, beginning with construction of Channel and Eagle Way lift stations in 2020. Brady lift station is nearly complete as of March 2022. PTS coordinated with funding agencies, construction contractors and Sitka Environmental staff to ensure no interruptions to sewer service were experienced during construction. The project(s) were complete under a very tight budget.
