Anchorage Area Drainage - McHugh Creek

Client: Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities

PTS Services:

  • Construction Inspection

  • SWPPP Inspection and Reporting

  • Quantity Tracking

PTS is providing daily construction and SWPPP inspections, quantity tracking, quality control, and closeout documentation. PTS will continue providing these services when the project resumes for the 2024 construction season.

In late 2023, the ADOT&PF began installing a 72” diameter steel culvert pipe using a trenchless method known as pipe ramming. The pipe will replace an existing culvert under the Seward Highway that has shown signs of failure. The method of pipe installation will allow the highway and the Alaska Railroad to continue operating with limited interruption. The project will be completed in the summer of 2024.
