PTS is providing topographic survey, civil engineering design, and construction management and inspection services for the Smith Road Extension Upgrade and Pathway project.

The upgrade of E. Smith Road Extension from N. Smith Road to N. Kendy Circle will provide an improved road structural section, a separated pathway for pedestrians, and better public access to the McRoberts & Matanuska Peak Trailhead. The roadway asphalt has reached the end of its useful life and continues to see increased recreational traffic visiting the McRoberts & Matanuska Peak Trailhead parking area.

PTS completed the survey of the project area in fall of 2022 and completed the design in 2023. Construction is underway as of June 2024. PTS will provide daily construction inspection and construction management services through project completion.
