PTS is providing construction management and construction inspection services for the Matanuska-Susitna Borough’s Cheri Lake Drive, Karen Avenue and King Arthur Drive Road Improvements project, located in Houston, Alaska. The project area includes approximately 2.25 miles of roads originally constructed either with gravel surfaces or strip-pavement. This project is upgrading these roads to MSB residential subcollector standards, improving drainage, and vehicle and pedestrian safety. Work features paving of all roadways with many areas receiving partial or full dig outs to replace road structural section, culvert replacement, signs, striping, intersection and driveway tie-ins, and other work typical of a rural road rehabilitation project. PTS is coordinating with local utilities and with the Alaska Railroad. The project began construction in 2023 and will continue into the 2024 construction season.
